Standard Event Credit:
Standard Event Credits are used to RSVP for an event. To do this, just look at the calendar in the Membership Portal for planned events that month, select what you are interested in, and a credit will be used to add you to the guest list for that event. If the event is marked as Premium you will have the option of using 2 credits for it or just paying the extra charge for that event (usually $20-$30).
Monthly Education Sample Bottle:
Every member who attends an event during the month will receive an educational sample bottle that is tied into a tutorial or technique being showcased in our digital content that month. This could be a syrup, blend, bitters, something that will be tasty, interesting, and continue sparking your curiosity.
Membership Portal:
Your online dashboard to RSVP for events, manage credits, view the event calendar, access educational content, and update your subscription preferences.
Invites and Newsletters:
Stay in the loop with exclusive event invites and the Cocktail Compass newsletter.
Booked Event Discount:
Receive a 10-25% discount (based on your subscription) on any private events you book through your member account.

Membership FAQs

What kinds of events do members get access to?
Events range from hands-on cocktail crafting to ingredient explorations, themed tastings, or special spirit-focused nights. Each one is designed to deepen your cocktail knowledge while connecting you to a like-minded community.
How do the educational bottles of the month work?
For all members who attend an event that month, they will receive a small-format, curated sample that complements one of the tutorials or techniques featured in the digital library that month.

Understanding Your Membership

How do I know what type of credit I need?
Each event listing in the portal will show whether it's Standard, Premium, and/or a Tasting Event, so you'll always know which type of credit applies.
How do I RSVP for an event using my credit?
Once logged into your membership portal, you'll see available events with RSVP buttons. If you have an active credit, simply click RSVP and you'll be added to the guest list for the event. For Premium events, additional details and charges will be shown.
What if I RSVP but can't attend?
If you cancel your RSVP at least 48 hours before the event begins, your credit will be returned to your account. Cancellations after that window, or no-shows, will result in the credit being used.
How close to the event can I RSVP?
Event guest lists are locked 24 hours prior to the event start time.
Can I purchase extra credits?
Yes. If you've used your monthly credits but want to attend more events, you can purchase additional credits directly from your portal.
Do my credits carry over month to month?
Yes. Any unused credits will carry over month to month.

Using Credits & Attending Events

Can I bring a friend along to an event?
Yes, but there are some important details. If your friend is already a member then they will need to use an event credit to RSVP for the event before attending. If your friend is NOT a member, you will need to gift them an event credit, making them a Spark member, prior to the event, or they will need to get their own membership and RSVP for the event prior to the event.
Can someone who is not a member attend an event?
No. All attendees must be members in order to RSVP and use a credit. However, someone can be gifted a credit, which automatically gifts them a Spark Subscription for 1 month. So while non-members cannot attend directly, you can make it possible by gifting them access.
Can I gift one of my event credits to someone else?
Yes, is the simple answer. If that person is already a member, the credit transfer is simply done in the membership portal. If that person is NOT a member, your gifted event credit will automatically enroll them as a 1-month Spark member, since only members can attend. You'll need to set them up in your portal to complete the gift.
Can 2 people RSVP for an event with the same account?
No. Memberships are individual. Each person attending an event must have their own account and RSVP using their own membership credit.
Can I bring my children?
No. Currently we don't have the staff nor space to keep children separate from the event taking place. All people present must be 21+.

Friends, Gifting & Guests

Can I upgrade or downgrade my membership subscription?
Yes. You can change your subscription at any time within your portal. Your new subscription benefits will begin at the start of your next billing cycle.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, but you will lose access to your unused credits as you must be a member to use them. The credits will remain associated to your account though, so if you reactivate your membership, you will have access to them again.
